NCT ID NCT07594054
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether smartphone data and optional smartwatches can detect early signs of psoriatic arthritis in people with psoriasis. About 3,458 adults with psoriasis but no arthritis will use an app that passively collects phone data. The goal is to develop algorithms that predict joint inflammation, potentially allowing earlier treatment or prevention.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- smartphone app and optional wearable (smartwatch) for digital biomarker monitoring
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could lead to a way to predict psoriatic arthritis before it starts, allowing early treatment or prevention.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early observational study, not a treatment trial. The digital tools may not reliably detect arthritis, and results may not apply to everyone.
