New circular catheter could improve heart ablation for AFib patients

Summary

This study tests a new circular-shaped catheter that uses pulsed field energy to treat atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. About 150 adults will receive the procedure, guided by ultrasound inside the heart. The goal is to see if the catheter safely and effectively blocks abnormal electrical signals.
