Hypnosis may ease anxiety during cancer radiation

Summary

This study looks at whether medical hypnosis can help reduce anxiety in cancer patients who are moderately to very anxious during their radiation treatments. About 45 adults with solid tumors will be randomly assigned to either listen to music or listen to music plus receive hypnosis during each radiation session. Researchers will track changes in anxiety scores and quality of life over two months.
