What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HydroMARK Plus clip (a breast biopsy site marker device)
What this could lead to
If successful, surgeons may find it easier to locate and remove breast biopsy markers during surgery, potentially improving surgical precision and patient experience.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (150 participants) comparing two markers. The new marker may not be easier to retrieve, and results may not apply to all patients or settings.
