NCT ID NCT07561177
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested two breathing support methods in 66 adults with COPD who had dangerously high carbon dioxide levels. One group received high-velocity nasal insufflation (HVNI) and the other received non-invasive ventilation (NIV). The main goal was to see how well each method lowered carbon dioxide after one hour. The study aimed to find out if HVNI could be a safe and effective alternative to NIV.
