First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a stem cell transplant right away is better than starting with standard immune-suppressing drugs for people with early, severe scleroderma. Sixty adults with the disease were randomly assigned to one of two treatment strategies. The goal was to see which approach better prevents organ damage and improves survival.
