First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study follows 150 mothers and their babies for 6 months after birth to see if a mother's weight and diet affect her breastmilk and her baby's growth. Researchers will measure the mother's body fat, diet, and health markers, and analyze the breastmilk's nutrients and immune factors. The goal is to understand how overweight or obesity might be passed from mother to child through breastfeeding.
