Phone calls after hospital stay aim to keep kids home and boost parent confidence

NCT ID NCT06428175

Summary

This study is testing two different phone-based support programs for families of children with complex health needs who are leaving the hospital. Researchers want to see if weekly check-in calls for a month work better than a single call at reducing return trips to the emergency room and increasing parents' confidence in caring for their child at home. The study will enroll 480 child-parent pairs to compare the two approaches.
