Can text messages and home workouts speed recovery from a dangerous lung clot?

NCT ID NCT05571189

Summary

This study tested whether a home-based exercise program could help people recover better after being hospitalized for a serious blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). 32 participants either followed a program of daily physical activities with heart rate monitoring sent via email/text, or received standard care. The goal was to see if this approach improved activity levels, walking ability, and quality of life three months after leaving the hospital.
