First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether doing fast bodyweight exercises at home, guided remotely by a physiotherapist, can reduce bradykinesia (slowness of movement) in people with Parkinson's disease. 46 participants aged 50+ with mild to moderate Parkinson's will be randomly assigned to either high-speed or usual-speed bodyweight training for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this accessible, no-equipment exercise program improves mobility, balance, and quality of life.
