Summary
This study tested a home-based, telephone-delivered therapy program for low-income seniors aged 65 and older with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes. The program, called Home DM-BAT, involved 8 sessions with a diabetes nurse educator to help improve blood sugar control. Researchers compared it to supportive therapy and measured HbA1c levels after 12 months.
