First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 3D hologram can distract children aged 3 to 12 during painful burn dressing changes, reducing their pain, anxiety, and fear. About 70 children with second-degree burns covering less than 10% of their body will be randomly assigned to see a hologram or receive standard care. Researchers will measure pain using a faces scale and fear using a special fear scale.
