First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested two types of nerve blocks (PENG and IPB) in 60 adults having hip surgery to see which one controls pain better while keeping leg muscles strong. Participants received one of the blocks during surgery, and researchers measured pain scores and muscle movement over 24 hours. The goal was to find the best option for pain relief without causing muscle weakness.
