First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested two methods of pain control after hip replacement: a continuous erector spinae plane block (ESPB) versus a continuous epidural. Sixty adults having hip surgery took part. Researchers measured how much pain medicine they needed, their pain levels, muscle strength, and ability to walk. The goal was to see which method provides better pain relief and recovery.
