10,000 joint replacements under the microscope: what makes an implant last?

This study collects information from 10,000 adults who have had hip or knee replacement surgery at Heidelberg University Hospital. Researchers will follow participants during routine check-ups to see how long the artificial joints last, how well they function, and what problems may arise. The goal is to learn what factors lead to better outcomes and to improve future surgeries.
