First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study aimed to measure how much a specific hip implant (the Pinnacle Acetabular Shell) moves in the bone over two years after hip replacement surgery. Researchers used a special X-ray technique called RSA to track implant movement. The study included 100 people needing hip replacement for arthritis or other joint damage. However, the study was terminated early, so results are limited.
