Summary

This study tested a type of internal radiation called high-dose brachytherapy in 43 people with cervical, endometrial, esophageal, prostate, or biliary cancer. The goal was to see if the procedure could be done safely and effectively at the National Institutes of Health. Participants received the treatment as part of their regular cancer care and were followed for up to a year to check for side effects and tumor response.
