First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special filter (hemoperfusion) to regular dialysis can better remove harmful substances from the blood of people with end-stage kidney disease. About 410 adults on maintenance dialysis will be randomly assigned to get either standard dialysis or dialysis plus the extra filter. The goal is to see if the combination improves clearance of toxins linked to complications.
