First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new device called HemoCept during a standard heart procedure called right heart catheterization. The goal is to see if the device can accurately measure pressure in the heart's blood vessels. About 50 adults with conditions like pulmonary hypertension or heart failure will take part. The study is observational, meaning it only collects data and does not provide any treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HemoCept device
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to a less invasive way to measure heart pressure during catheterization.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early pilot study with only 50 participants. It is observational, so it does not test treatment or prove the device works better than current methods.
