Heart surgery watch: blood pressure dips may predict brain fog and kidney trouble

NCT ID NCT07510711

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will follow 120 adults having heart surgery to see if drops in blood pressure and brain oxygen levels during the operation can predict confusion, memory problems, or kidney injury afterward. Researchers will use standard monitors already in place and check patients' recovery with simple tests. The goal is to find better ways to identify who is at higher risk so doctors can adjust care during surgery.
