Wearable Defibrillator's heart sound accuracy under review
NCT ID NCT04292405
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a wearable defibrillator (WCD) can accurately record heart sounds in people with heart failure. About 60 adults with heart failure and weak heart pumping (ejection fraction 40% or less) took part. The goal was to compare the WCD's recordings to a standard heart sound recorder. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
