Summary
This study looked at whether electrically stimulating scarred heart muscle after a heart attack could improve how well the heart contracts. Ten patients undergoing a standard procedure for abnormal heart rhythms had their heart function measured before and after stimulation of the scar area. The goal was to see if local and overall heart pumping improved, even briefly.
