Summary
This study follows 160 heart failure patients who are scheduled for coronary artery bypass surgery. Researchers want to see if measuring a substance called GDF-15 in the blood before surgery can help predict who will have serious heart problems in the next year. The study does not test any new treatment—it only observes and collects data to improve risk assessment.
