NCT ID NCT07580508

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a four-month digital program designed to help people with chronic heart failure take their medications as prescribed. The program includes personalized planning, motivational counseling, and symptom tracking. Researchers will enroll 870 adults in Pakistan who have trouble sticking to their heart failure medicines, and measure whether the program improves medication adherence and quality of life.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

digital behavioural intervention (autonomy-competence program)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a low-cost, scalable way to help heart failure patients stick to their medications, potentially reducing hospital stays and improving daily life.

What could go wrong

This is an early-stage trial in a single country (Pakistan), so results may not apply elsewhere. The intervention is behavioural, not a drug, so its effects may be modest and depend on patient engagement.
