Laser and platelet gels speed wisdom tooth recovery, study finds
NCT ID NCT07324213
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at ways to improve healing after removing impacted wisdom teeth. Researchers tested whether placing a patient's own blood concentrates (platelet-rich fibrin or growth factors) into the socket, along with low-level laser therapy, could reduce pain, swelling, and speed up bone healing. 122 healthy adults took part, and the results may help dentists choose the best approach for a smoother recovery.
