First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether a simpler two-drug combination (vonoprazan plus either amoxicillin or doxycycline) works as well as the standard four-drug therapy for eradicating H. pylori, a stomach infection that can cause ulcers. About 579 adults with H. pylori took one of three 14-day treatments. The goal was to see which approach is safest, most effective, and easiest to tolerate.
