NCT ID NCT06588166
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study aims to create a new, non-invasive screening tool for colorectal cancer by analyzing gut bacteria in stool samples. Researchers will collect samples from 1,006 people aged 50-74 who are part of a national screening program and have had a positive fecal test. The goal is to develop a scoring system that can better identify who truly has cancer or advanced polyps, potentially reducing the need for unnecessary colonoscopies.
