Summary
This study looks at whether the types of bacteria in a child's gut can influence how sick they get from RSV, a common virus that can cause severe breathing problems in infants. Researchers in Vietnam will compare the gut bacteria and immune responses of 250 children with mild versus severe RSV infection. The goal is to find patterns that could help predict or prevent severe illness.
