New gum treatment shows promise in bone repair battle

Summary
This study tests two treatments for deep gum pockets caused by gum disease. 36 adults who still have deep pockets after standard cleaning will get either a growth factor (Rh-PDGF) or a tooth development protein (Emdogain), both with bone graft. The goal is to see which better improves gum attachment and pocket depth over 12 months.
