Summary
This trial tests whether adding a small piece of connective tissue from the roof of the mouth to a standard gum-saving surgery helps repair deep bone defects caused by gum disease. Thirty adults with two or more deep gum pockets will receive the surgery on both defects, but only one defect will get the extra tissue graft. Researchers will measure changes in gum attachment, pocket depth, and bone fill after 6 and 12 months to see if the graft makes a difference.
