Summary

This study looked at whether green tea extract can improve gut health and lower inflammation in people with metabolic syndrome and in healthy adults. 46 participants took either green tea extract or a placebo for one month, then switched to the other for another month. The researchers measured markers of inflammation and gut barrier function to see if the extract made a difference.
