Summary

This study tested whether taking green tea extract for one month could improve gut health and reduce inflammation in people with metabolic syndrome and in healthy adults. Participants took either the extract or a placebo for a month, then switched. The study measured markers of inflammation and gut barrier function in blood and urine.
