Could licorice root extract help fight prostate cancer?

Summary
This study tests whether a compound from licorice root, called glycyrrhizin, can reduce PSA levels in men with prostate cancer before they have surgery to remove the prostate. About 60 men who are scheduled for prostate removal will take glycyrrhizin daily for a short time. The goal is to see if it has any anti-tumor effect and is safe to take.
