First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a GLP-1 medication (a type of drug used for weight loss and diabetes) can improve the brain's control of reproductive hormones in obese teenage girls with PCOS. About 20 girls aged 12–18 will take the drug for 16 weeks while also getting diet and exercise advice. Researchers will measure changes in hormone pulses and body composition to see if the treatment helps restore more normal cycles.
