First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding genicular nerve blocks to standard pain treatment helps people who have ACL knee surgery. 192 adults were randomly assigned to receive either the extra nerve blocks or usual care. The goal was to see if the blocks reduce opioid painkiller use and pain scores in the first 24 hours after surgery.
