First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a person's genetic risk for obesity affects how much weight they lose on a diet. Researchers recruited 223 overweight adults with either very high or very low genetic risk scores for high BMI. Half received diet coaching, while the other half served as a control group. The goal was to see if genetics can help predict who will benefit most from dietary changes.
