New surgical patch aims to stop bleeding faster in liver operations

Summary

This study tested a new patch called GATT-Patch to see if it stops bleeding during open liver surgery better than the current patch, TachoSil. 132 adults having planned liver surgery took part. The main goal was to see if bleeding stopped within 3 minutes and did not restart.
