Scientists probe GARP protein's role in heart attacks and chest pain

Summary

This study looks at a protein called GARP and related inflammatory markers in the blood of 600 adults with either acute (sudden) or chronic (long-term) coronary syndrome. Participants will have blood drawn during a routine heart catheterization. The goal is to understand how GARP contributes to inflammation in heart disease, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
