First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special gene test can help men with low-risk prostate cancer safely choose active surveillance (watching the cancer closely) instead of immediate treatment like surgery or radiation. About 800 men with early-stage prostate cancer are taking part. The goal is to see if the gene test helps doctors and patients make better decisions about whether treatment is needed.
