First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at why some people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) feel more belly pain after eating fructose (a sugar found in fruit). No new treatment is tested — the goal is to better understand the connection between fructose, gut microbes, and pain.
