Fatty liver frailty: do men and women differ?
NCT ID NCT07652892
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This observational study aims to see if frailty—a state of increased weakness and vulnerability—differs between men and women with MASLD (fatty liver disease). Researchers will track 140 participants over time using physical tests and questionnaires. No drugs or treatments are being tested; the goal is to gather knowledge for better future care.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help doctors better understand frailty risks in fatty liver patients and tailor care by sex.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It cannot prove cause and effect, and results may not apply to all patients.
