First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to treat severe hand tremors caused by essential tremor or Parkinson's disease. Instead of using an invasive head frame or surgery, the treatment delivers radiation in three small doses using a standard linear accelerator. The goal is to reduce tremors while lowering the risk of brain damage. Nine adults who cannot have or refuse deep brain stimulation are being treated and followed for one year.
