First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving families money or healthy groceries can help infants with early obesity reach a healthier weight. About 228 infants aged 9-12 months who are at risk for food insecurity will receive $50 per week for one year, either as cash or as guided grocery shopping. Researchers will track changes in body mass index (BMI) and other health measures to see which approach works better.
