First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests if using focused ultrasound (MR-HIFU) alone or with standard radiation can better relieve bone pain caused by cancer that has spread to the bones. About 216 adults with painful bone metastases will receive either ultrasound, ultrasound plus radiation, or radiation alone. The goal is to see which approach provides faster and more lasting pain relief with fewer side effects.
