First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether a heat-sensing (FLIR) camera can help measure pain and disease severity in people newly diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Thirty adults with CRPS in one limb had a picture of their foot taken with the camera and answered pain questionnaires. The goal was to see if the camera's readings match standard pain and severity scores.
