First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at a new surgical technique for repairing cut finger tendons that does not require a splint after surgery. Forty adults with clean tendon cuts will have the repair and then start moving their fingers gently right away. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better hand movement and strength compared to traditional splinting.
