Can exercise tests reveal hidden health clues in childhood disease survivors?

NCT ID NCT05025774

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is recruiting 90 people aged 8-25 who are survivors of childhood leukemia, chronic lung disease of prematurity, or heart transplant, plus healthy controls. Researchers will use non-invasive exercise tests to measure heart and lung function during physical activity. The goal is to better understand why these individuals often have trouble exercising, which could guide future fitness recommendations.
