Stool test vs. scope: lynch syndrome study seeks easier cancer detection

NCT ID NCT06898996

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-invasive stool test called FIT can accurately detect colorectal cancer in people with Lynch Syndrome, a genetic condition that raises cancer risk. Researchers will compare FIT results to standard colonoscopy findings in 400 participants aged 20-80. If FIT proves accurate, it could offer a less invasive option for routine cancer surveillance.
