Summary
This phase 3 trial tests whether the drug finerenone (Kerendia) can improve heart structure and function in 156 adults with heart failure and an enlarged left ventricle. Participants take finerenone or a placebo daily for 12 months, alongside standard care. Heart changes are measured using MRI scans at the start and after one year. The goal is to see if finerenone reduces heart muscle thickening and stiffness, which could lead to better outcomes.
