New risk score aims to catch hidden heart condition before it strikes

NCT ID NCT05898165

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a computer-based risk score can identify people more likely to have undiagnosed atrial fibrillation (AF), a heart rhythm problem that raises stroke risk. About 1,955 adults aged 30 and older with certain risk factors will use a remote ECG monitor at home. The goal is to see if those flagged as higher risk are more often found to have AF, so they can get early treatment.
