Cash for better blood sugar: new study tests rewards for diabetes control
NCT ID NCT04203173
First seen Jun 16, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 16, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding financial rewards to nurse coaching and home monitoring helps people with type 2 diabetes improve their blood sugar control more than coaching and monitoring alone. About 450 adults with poorly controlled diabetes will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The study also checks if any benefits last after the rewards stop and if results differ by race or ethnicity.
